Who We Are

Boys Growing
More Like Christ

WPA vintage campsite illustration

The Calvinist Cadet Corps is a Christian ministry for boys. Our aim is simple — to help boys grow more like Christ. We call it Living for Jesus, and it shapes everything we do.

We pair godly men with boys as mentors, then put them shoulder to shoulder over hands-on outdoor skills — knots and lashing, shelter building, archery, riflery, orienteering, and cooking over a fire. The skills are real. The point is the relationships built along the way.

At Little Farms Chapel, Cadets is open to boys in grades 1 through 12. Older Cadets work toward merit badges and prepare for the International Camporee. Younger boys learn alongside their dads and the men of the congregation.

The Program

What We Do

Skill Sessions & Merit Badges
Hands-on instruction in archery, riflery, orienteering, shelter building, camp cooking, and knots & lashing. Boys earn merit badges as they master each skill, with a counselor leading every session.
Merit Badges
Campouts
Boys and the men who mentor them head outdoors together — pitching camp, running the kitchen, and putting their skills to work away from screens and routine.
Outdoors
Bible Study & Campfire Devotions
Scripture opens and closes our time together. Around the campfire, men and boys talk through what it means to follow Christ in everyday life.
Living for Jesus
Preparing for the International Camporee
Our older Cadets train toward the International Camporee — the Corps' flagship gathering — building the certification skills and camp readiness it calls for.
For Older Cadets

Who It's For

Who Mentor Them

The Boys
Cadets welcomes boys in grades 1 through 12. Younger boys start with their dads alongside; older Cadets take on more, working toward merit badges and the International Camporee. No outdoor experience needed — just a willingness to learn.
The Men
Dads, grandfathers, and men of the congregation make Cadets work. We're always looking for men willing to mentor — to lead a skill session, help at a campout, or simply walk alongside a boy. No outdoor experience required.

New families are always welcome, and we'd love to meet you. If you have a boy who'd thrive outdoors with godly men around him — or if you're a man willing to mentor — speak with one of the counselors at Little Farms Chapel and we'll help you get started.
